About Chief Bob Coles

Chief Bob Coles brings over 30 years of law enforcement experience to South Roxana. He served in the Army as a Military Police Officer, he is also a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy. Chief Coles holds a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership, providing him with strong leadership, operational, and administrative expertise.

In addition to serving as Chief of Police, he also holds the role of Village Administrator, overseeing the daily operations of the village and ensuring the efficient delivery of municipal services.

About the Department

The South Roxana Police Department consists of five dedicated officers who work closely with neighboring law enforcement agencies to ensure swift and effective responses to emergencies affecting our area. Through interagency cooperation, our officers enhance public safety efforts by coordinating emergency response, crime prevention strategies, and regional law enforcement initiatives.
