The South Roxana Water Department plays a vital role in maintaining the village’s infrastructure, water services, and public spaces. With a only dedicated team of two full-time water employees and a part-time water clerk, the department ensures the efficient operation of essential services that impact daily life in South Roxana.
Responsibilities & Services
Beyond managing the village’s water and sewer system, the department is responsible for:
- Water and Sewer Line Maintenance – Responding to and repairing water main breaks, sewer issues, and other infrastructure needs.
- JULIE Utility Locates – Ensuring the safe excavation of underground utilities by marking water and sewer lines.
- Roadway Repairs & Maintenance – Repairing roads impacted by utility work, pothole patching, and general road maintenance.
- Park Maintenance – Assisting in the upkeep and care of village parks and recreational spaces to keep them clean and accessible for residents.
